About Sylvia Cassidy

My work has never belonged neatly in one world.

For more than two decades, I have worked across holistic healing, mental health, community services, leadership, education and professional practice.

Along the way, I have become increasingly interested in what happens when we stop separating the person from the systems they live and work within, the body from the mind, wellbeing from professional practice and personal experience from the environments that shape us.

My work today has grown from that understanding.

I believe meaningful change begins with awareness - of ourselves, our bodies, our patterns and the way we relate to the world around us.

Whether I am working with someone through kinesiology, supporting a practitioner in supervision, or standing in front of a room facilitating education, my approach remains deeply human: curious, compassionate, grounded and respectful of the person in front of me.

Expertise and experience

A practice shaped by many worlds

Education & Training

My professional education spans community services, clinical supervision, mental health, training and assessment, kinesiology, energy-based practice and multi modalities for complementary approaches to wellbeing.

My qualifications and professional development have allowed me to work across both community and holistic settings, while developing an approach grounded in ethical, reflective and person-centred practice.

Experience

My work began in holistic practice more than two decades ago and later expanded into community services, mental health, suicide postvention, leadership and professional education.

I have worked in client-facing practice, complex community support and senior leadership, giving me an understanding of both the deeply personal nature of helping work and the systems practitioners are required to navigate within it.

Practice

My practice brings together different areas of professional knowledge without pretending they are the same thing.

Kinesiology and Reiki remain distinct healing modalities within my wellbeing work, while clinical supervision, reflective practice and professional education draw upon my experience in mental health, community services, leadership and practitioner development.

What connects them is the philosophy underneath them: that sustainable wellbeing and good practice require awareness, boundaries, reflection, connection and care.

Approach

I am less interested in applying a predetermined formula than understanding the person, practitioner or group in front of me.

My approach is relational, reflective and trauma-aware, with space for both evidence-informed professional practice and the embodied, human experience that cannot always be reduced to a framework or checklist.

Values

Compassion matters deeply to me - but so do integrity, accountability and authenticity.

I believe we can care deeply for people without rescuing them, support healing without removing agency, and practise professionally without losing our humanity.

My work is ultimately about creating spaces where people can feel supported enough to become more aware, more connected and more capable of moving forward in ways that are meaningful to them.
