The services provided by Sylvia Cassidy – Integrative Clinical Supervision Support, including clinical supervision, reflective practice facilitation, professional resilience training and related frameworks (including Systems of Soul™ and The SHIFT Process™) are professional development and reflective support services.

These services are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal or crisis intervention services and do not replace therapy, counselling, diagnosis or treatment provided by a registered healthcare professional.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require clinical or medical support, you should seek assistance from a qualified healthcare provider, your general practitioner or appropriate emergency services.

Professional Responsibility

Clinical supervision and training are collaborative and reflective processes designed to support professional development, ethical awareness and practitioner wellbeing. The supervisee or participant remains fully responsible for their own professional conduct, clinical decisions and actions within their scope of practice.

Participation in supervision or training does not transfer responsibility for professional decisions, client care or workplace conduct to Sylvia Cassidy.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

While supervision and training are intended to support professional growth and reflective capacity, individual outcomes may vary. No guarantees are made regarding specific professional, personal or organisational outcomes resulting from participation.

Educational and Informational Purposes

All information, frameworks, training materials and website content are provided for educational and professional development purposes only. They are not intended as clinical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Confidentiality and Ethical Practice

Supervision services are conducted in accordance with professional ethical standards. Confidentiality will be maintained except where disclosure is required by law, including but not limited to situations involving risk of harm to self or others, mandatory reporting obligations or legal requirements.

Sylvia Cassidy – Integrative Clinical Supervision Support

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing clinical supervision provided by Sylvia Cassidy. Its purpose is to ensure clarity, ethical practice, and a safe, professional supervisory relationship

 
1. Purpose of Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is a reflective, collaborative process designed to support professional development, ethical awareness, practitioner wellbeing, and reflective practice.
Supervision may include:

  • Reflective discussion of client work and professional experiences

  • Exploration of ethical considerations and professional boundaries

  • Development of practitioner self-awareness and resilience

  • Support in navigating professional challenges

Supervision is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment.

 
2. Scope of Services
Supervision provided by Sylvia Cassidy is intended for professional development and reflective support only. It does not constitute psychological treatment, counselling, diagnosis, or clinical care.
Participants remain fully responsible for their professional practice, client care, and decision-making.

 
3. Professional Responsibility
The supervisee acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They retain full responsibility for their professional conduct and client care

  • Supervision does not replace independent professional judgement

  • They will practice within their own scope of competence, training, and qualifications

  • They will comply with relevant professional, legal, and ethical standards applicable to their profession


 
4. Confidentiality
All supervision discussions are treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.
Confidentiality may be broken where:

  • There is risk of harm to self or others

  • Mandatory reporting obligations apply

  • Disclosure is required by legal or regulatory authorities

Supervisees must ensure client information shared in supervision is de-identified and does not disclose personally identifiable information.

 
5. Session Structure and Duration
Supervision sessions are typically:

  • 60 minutes in duration, unless otherwise agreed

  • Conducted in person or via secure online platform

Scheduled by mutual agreement


6. Fees and Payment
Supervision fees are payable prior to or at the time of the session, unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of future supervision sessions.

 
7. Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a supervision session.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee, except in exceptional circumstances.

 
8. Professional Boundaries
The supervisory relationship is professional in nature. Dual relationships that may impair professional judgement or create conflicts of interest will be avoided.
Sylvia Cassidy reserves the right to decline or discontinue supervision where it is deemed outside scope or not appropriate.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sylvia Cassidy shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from supervision services.

The supervisee accepts full responsibility for their professional decisions and actions.

 

10. Termination of Supervision

Either party may terminate the supervision relationship at any time with reasonable notice.

Supervision may be terminated immediately where:

  • Professional boundaries are violated

  • Ethical standards are breached

  • The supervisory relationship is no longer appropriate


11. Record Keeping

Basic records may be kept for scheduling, invoicing, and professional purposes in accordance with Australian privacy laws.

These records will be stored securely and treated confidentially.
